The light clicks in my bedroom. The onset of another new day. "Come on man, you got work to do," she says. The other objects in the room are quiet, just like me in the first hours of the morning. I place my left foot on the mat near my bed. The atmosphere is dark. I stumble out of bed and into the bathroom. "Here you are, boy", says the mirror, "do not forget who you are, come take a look." He always says that. He knows I do not answer or talk for a while after I woke up. No matter, he is always ready to play with me. "Look at yourself, this is who you are." is the mirror's mantra.

While I am walking down the staircase, I heard the good morning from different objects. They are all ready for me when I reach the kitchen. "No breakfast as usual?" Asks the fridge. "I got plenty of choices as always." "Me too," says the drawer. "No way, you know my habits" I respond, my first utterance of the day. "It's just that you look gaunt, you know I am here to help." "You are here to mock me." I quickly spat back. This game plays out every morning. The other objects amuse themselves, quietly listening to our interaction.

Outside is cold, at least compared to the warm temperature of the house. Not as cold as it should be during this season though. I sit down on the sofa. She is quiet like me in the morning. She knows we are going to spend the next hours together. "Good morning boyio." She just says. A nod is all she usually gets as an answer before I sit. My PC is already excited: "I think you could wake up even earlier, you know. The amount of work we got to do is not gonna complete itself." "Are you ready?" "You bet I am, I do not need as many hours as you to recharge, what a waste." "Yes, but then you don't last as much as me during the day." "That's not a problem, I can work even when I recharge. You cannot win over me." "You should learn to do the work yourself." I mock him back. "Yeah, I'd love to, you know. Stop the talking, the work cannot wait."

I sit quietly for the first hour in the morning. I glance at the dark outside, which is slowly leaving place to the first lights of the morning sun. The only sounds in the room are the clicks of me typing on the keyboard and the slow breathing of the fridge. Not all objects are awake at this hour of the morning. They wake up one by one while I look at my screen. Aware of my focus, they stay quiet and just observe me. One hour passes. I complete my first working session of the day. "Are you done already? One hour is all you got, I am still up and running. Who said you have more energy than me?" says my PC, always quick to point out how important and alert he is. "You know the routine, just a short break to stretch and we get back to work," I answer back.

While a walk up the stairs, more objects seem to be finally awake. They say good morning as I pass by, knowing I have been up for quite a while already. The morning goes by as usual. The chit-chat becomes louder as the day evolves. No one seems to dare to interrupt my awareness over my PC, knowing of important my work is and how jealous the PC tends to be over me. When I finally complete the morning session, I turn off the PC and place it on the table. "Are we done?" he asks. "You are done, I just got started," I answer back. I catch the smirks of some objects around me, amused by the continuous back and forth between me and the PC. It is time to work out. I change my clothes, get my shoes on, and walk for the door. "What do we do today?" she asks. "Jumping rope warm-up as usual?" "Yep, then I go pump." "Great, are you ready?" she asks, as she always does. "You bet!" I say, before closing here back and leaving the house.
